TELLURIDE:Up at 8,750 feet, the Town of Telluride is located at the end of a box canyon in the southwest corner of Colorado in the spectacular-jagged San Juan Mountains. The ski area comes right into not only Telluride but also the town of Mountain Village. The views from Telluride are spectacular as countless peaks up to fourteen thousand feet surround the town. On a sunny day you look all the way to Utah. The Ute Indians first called the Telluride Valley home until Manifest Destiny and the mining exploration of the mid-1800’s. Telluride was originally called Columbia when the rowdy mining camp became a town in 1878, and then changed its name to Telluride. With the arrival of the railroad in 1890, the remote town boomed to over 5,000 residents. The boom of Telluride was soon followed by the bust, and Telluride became a small mining town into the 1900’s. Element 52: Situated between the San Miguel River and the ski area is Element 52: a one-of-a-kind luxury condominium. The high-end 35 units is one of a kind for the Town of Telluride. Element 52 is impeccably appointed and boasts exclusive features: ski in and out location as well as access via a private lift, fitness center, private spa, outdoor pools, resident concierge and Gray Head Wilderness Club membership. (The new owner’s plan is to have Heritage Hotels manage the property and also remodel and then unload nice size units at a lower price.) The hotel has had several remodels and refinements. The hotel has spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The Peaks provides in hotel dining, après skiing, the Golden Door Spa, ski in-out access, tennis, golf and easy access to Telluride via the gondola. See Forever Village: See Forever Village, 28 luxury units, is located in the Mountain Village Core across from The Peaks Resort. Trails Edge: A boutique brand new 10 unit condo impeccable finished, spectacular views of the San Sophia Ridge and most impressive, ski in and out service to the ski area. 12 Trails Edge is the best of all worlds, located in the woods yet in the middle of it all. With uncompromising construction details, a heated street and private ski easement, commanding views, and only steps away from Town Hall Plaza, the marketplace, and the year round free gondola network, this may be the finest location in Telluride. Quality, convenience, and alpine serenity. The Lorian: The Lorian III is located on a premier ski in-ski out lot in the Mountain Village. Consisting of six new luxury residences, ranging from four to six bedrooms and 4,000 to 6,800 sq. ft., this upscale offering is one of Mountain Village’s best. Each unit has the finest appointments and amenities. Located just past Aldasoro Ranch and at the base of the Mount Sneffels Wilderness Area, the views of 14,000-foot peaks and the ultimate privacy make Gray Head one of the most coveted developments in Telluride. Ski Ranches: This development was originally done by the Zoline family. The Value of the Ski Ranchs is 1. Price and 2. No Real Estate Transfer Tax. The Ski Ranches are only minutes from Mountain Village and Town. The home sites are private with ample trees and western exposure. Elk run is about 10 to 15 minutes from town and 5 to 10 from the Mountain Village. West Meadows: Located across from the Mountain Village entrance is West Meadows. The homesites are situated to offer privacy and unobstructed views. The design guidelines may focus is the importance of neighborhood privacy. There is an additional 200 acres dedicated to equestrian and recreational open space. The lots are 35 acres. The Preserve: The preserve was held by the original ski area owners, The Zolines, and developed into 12 lots of low density averaging 13 acres each.
